Les Jeunes Brutes turned a postseason stage at Hockey Etcetera - Saputo into a showcase, beating the Backdoor Bandits 7-4 behind a four-goal outburst from Issa Robitaille-Seck. The win keeps the Brutes unbeaten on the season (11-0-2) and gives them early control of this matchup — they now lead the season series 1-0.

The first period set the tone. Robitaille-Seck opened the scoring at 4:48 and Jacob Lebeau added a second before Matthew Itzkovitz cut the lead to 2-1. The period was chippy — Sacha Belanger drew two roughing minors in quick succession and Gianluca Pietrantonio took a tripping penalty, giving both benches chances to tilt momentum.

In the second, Edouard Charbonneau scored early to push the lead, then Itzkovitz struck again for the Bandits to make it 3-2. Defenseman Leo Raymond restored a two-goal cushion before the horn. Special teams had little impact: Les Jeunes Brutes went 0 for 2 and Backdoor Bandits were 0 for 3 on the power play.

The third was decisive. Robitaille-Seck ripped off three goals in the first 2:05 of the period — completing a four-goal night — and the Brutes ballooned the lead to 7-2. Devyn Sandler and Itzkovitz added late markers for Backdoor Bandits, but the comeback stalled.

Sacha Belanger was pivotal setting up multiple strikes despite the penalties, and goalie William Beauchemin held the fort as Les Jeunes Brutes advance with a statement win early in the playoffs.
